At SOS,
we consider training paramount. For this reason,
our training staff is comprised of knowledgeable
individuals with a broad range of expertise. Their
collective experience spans all aspects of security
with backgrounds including certified training instructors,
Certified Protection Professionals, former law
enforcement and military officers, legal counsel,
private investigators and personnel specialists
well versed in screening and hiring techniques,
and employee relations. |

As a
prelude to regular training, SOS has developed
an Orientation Program, which is specifically designed
and tailored to introduce the prospective officer
to our organization and the general field of security. |
|

All
SOS security personnel will attend the SOS Training
Academy. The minimum training will include orientation
and classroom training, consisting of a series
of lectures and videos prior to assignment. All
applicants must pass an examination prior to assignment.
All applicants
will then receive the required site-specific training or greater depending upon
the Client’s expectations and the complexity of the security officers post assignment(s) and function(s). On average, SOS Security Officers receive forty (40) hours of initial training. |

As part of SOS’s training program, we offer “Diplomatic Focus Training”, which consists of three (3) topics: |
|
 |
 |
1. |
 |
Customer
Service Skills, which covers (i) Attitude
of Excellent Service, (ii) Identifying Customers
Needs, (iii) Thoughtful Body Language and Words (iv)
Uncompromising Service at Every Contact Point, (v)
Resolving Conflict, (vi) Exceeding Customer Expectations. |
|
 |
 |
2. |
 |
Risk Management: Risk management is not to try and operate your business in a risk-free environment, but to tip the scales and become strategic rather than just defensive. To this end, we educate our security personnel in the areas of liability, contract compliance, sexual harassment, diversity training, violation reporting pro-cedures, investigation procedures and other legal and safety related issues in order to mitigate the risks to our clients and SOS. |
|
 |
 |
3. |
 |
Leadership Skills: It is SOS’s belief and preference that promotions and advancements should come from within the SOS organization, whenever possible. As such, SOS provides advanced education and training seminars to those individuals who demonstrate outstanding performance and motivation in order to enhance their knowledge and professional development. |
|
 |
 |
SOS
believes that the above referenced training will
focus on “value added” skills, knowledge,
leadership and professional development within
the security industry. |
|

 |
Furthermore, it is our policy that security officers’ education should be an ongoing process. Therefore, we conduct training seminars semi-annually. These seminars provide additional training pursuant to current security trends and their direct impact on existing security services where procedures are updated to familiarize our security personnel with these procedures and are part of our “Pursuit of Excellence Program” and Quality
Improvement Process. |

We
will design and submit to the Client written site
and post and submit to Client written site and
post-specific training orders. This approach enables
us to acquaint the Site Supervisor/Manager and
all security officers, field managers and personnel
staff with the unique requirements of a post or
facility. It is designed to ensure continuity of
presentation and makes on-the-job training familiar
in the context of classroom training. |
|

 |
SOS
will provide a schedule of ongoing training on
a regular basis for officers, assigned to the Client. Documentary records will be made available to Client to indicate the type, duration, and subject matter of training provided. |
|

 |
As an adjunct to our training program, and
at the Clients discretion, we will offer to each
Client a Security Awareness Program aimed at
familiarizing their employees with the essentials
of the security program instituted at their facility.
We recommend that this program be assimilated
into any other educational programs that may
be provided to Client employees as part of their
orientation at the facility. |
