SOS Security personnel throughout the East Coast performed invaluable services to their clients during the recent earthquake and hurricane. One example of this occurred at several high rise office buildings of a New York City based client. After the earthquake tremors were felt in NYC, SOS Security Officers immediately began communication protocols with the Security Operations Center. The officers relayed site specific information and began the client’s employee communication procedures. The effectiveness of the Officers helped all the employees safely exit their location in a calm and organized manner.
At these same locations, the client and SOS Security management implemented emergency security and safety procedures in preparation for hurricane Irene. As the storm intensified, Officers provided hourly updates for each location and communicated critical information regarding leaks and fallen trees. These important notifications gave sufficient time for the facility to resolve storm related issues and as a result, all of the sites were safely operating for business Monday morning.
